🌟 Tawheed of Allah Almighty (Oneness of Allah) 🌟

**🌟 Tawheed of Allah Almighty (Oneness of Allah) 🌟**

 ### "Introduction" The fundamental belief of Islam is "Tawheed," or the absolute "Oneness of Allah Almighty." In Islam, it is the most important and comprehensive idea. This is the foundation upon which all Islamic teachings and commands are built. The Shahada's very essence is this: > "La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur Rasoolullah" is a prayer. > *“There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah.” *

Tawheed is the central message brought by all Prophets (peace be upon them), from Prophet Adam (AS) to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

 ## **🔤 Definition of Tawheed**

 ### **Linguistic Definition:**

The Arabic root for the word "Tawheed," which means to unite, unify, or assert oneness, is ""**. ### **Islamic Definition:**

to affirm and believe that Allah is one, without a partner in His worship, Lordship, and attributes. His essence and actions are one of a kind and stand alone. ---

 ## **📚 Types of Tawheed**

Islamic scholars divide Tawheed into the following "three main types": ---

 ### **1.  Oneness of Lordship, or Tawheed al-Ruboobiyyah** This is the idea that Allah is the only one who can create, own, sustain, and control the universe. **Qur'anic Evidence:** > **"Allah is the creator of everything, and He is the one who takes care of everything." **

 > (Surah Az-Zumar, line 62) ---

 ### **2.  Oneness of Worship, or Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah** This means completely dedicating one's worship to Allah alone and rejecting all forms of shirk (polytheism). **Qur'anic Evidence:** > ** "And I did not create the jinn or humans except to worship Me." **

 > (Surah Adh-Dhariyat, page 56) ---

 ### **3.  The Oneness of Names and Characteristics, or Tawheed al-Asma' wa Sifaat** This includes affirming all the beautiful **Names and Attributes** of Allah mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah, **without altering, denying, distorting, or likening them** to creation.

 **Qur’anic Proof:**

 > **"There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing." **

 > (Surah Ash-Shura, verse 11) ---

 ## Tawheed is mentioned in the Qur'an. Humanity is continually urged toward the Oneness of Allah by the Holy Qur'an. ### The Pure Monotheism of Surah Al-Ikhlas: > "Say, He is Allah, the One." > Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

 > He is neither born nor conceived, > There is also nothing comparable to Him." **

 > *(Surah Al-Ikhlas: 1-4)*

This short yet powerful Surah summarizes the essence of Tawheed.

 ---

 ### From the Surah Al-Baqarah: > **"And your god is one God.  "He, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful," is the only god "worthy of worship." **

 > (Surah Al-Baqarah, page 163) ---

 ### Shaykh Al-Hashr: > **"He is Allah, and there is no god other than Allah. The one who knows about the unseen and the seen. He is the most compassionate and merciful..." **

 > (Surah Al-Hashr, verses 22–24) ---

 ### Tawheed in the Hadith ### Gabriel's (Jibreel's) Hadith: Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

 > **"Islam is to prove that Allah is the only god and that Muhammad is His Messenger..." **

 > (Sahih Muslim, p. 8) ---

 ### Hadith Concerning Allah's Right: Mu'adh ibn Jabal (RA) reported that the Prophet said: > "Oh Mu'adh! Do you know what Allah’s right is upon His slaves?”

 > He said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.”

"That they worship Him and do not associate anything with Him," the Prophet stated. **

 > (Sahih Bukhari, p. 2856) ---

 ## **Speech of Scholars and Companions** ### Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, RA: > "The essence of salvation is to believe in the Oneness of Allah and to act sincerely upon it." ##Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA): > "Tawheed is not that you imagine Him to be like or equal to you." ### Imam Abu Hanifa, RA: > "Allah has always been the same since the beginning of time, when there was nothing else. He does not change."

 ---

 ## **The Universal Tawheed Call** The central tenet of Tawheed was communicated by each Prophet: *Nuh the Prophet (AS): > ** "Honor Allah! You only worship Him as your deity. (Surah Al-A'raf, p. 59) * Ibrahim the Prophet (AS): > "Indeed, I have turned my face toward Him who created the heavens and the earth, inclined toward truth, and I am not of those who associate Allah with others." ** *(Surah Al-An'am: 79)*

*Muhammad the Prophet:** > The final Prophet, whose mission began and ended with the invitation to Tawheed.

 ## **The Effects of Tawheed Belief** 1.  Peace of mind and heart 2.  Strong sense of direction 3.  Freedom from fear of creation and confidence 4.  **Unity and equality of mankind**

 5.  Integrity and spiritual purity ---

 ## "Condemnation of Shirk" (also known as polytheism) ### **Shirk is Islam's most serious sin. **

**Qur'anic Evidence:** > ** "Indeed, Allah forgave association with Him, but He forgave less than that for whom He wills." **

 > (Surah An-Nisa, p. 48) If not repented of, shirk renders all good deeds null and void and will result in eternal punishment. ---

 ## **🏁 Conclusion**

The "heart" of Islam is tawheed. It is the ultimate truth that frees people from materialism, superstition, and idolatry. Every act of worship — Salah, fasting, charity, Hajj — is meaningless without the sincere belief in the Oneness of Allah.

Let us consider our lives: Are we truly monotheists in our daily lives? Are we teaching our children the pure creed of **Tawheed**?

May Allah grant us a life and death upon Tawheed, and raise us among the believers on the Day of Judgment.

 > **"Whoever dies upon Tawheed will enter Jannah." **

 > (Muslim Sahih) ---
